Have you noticed that as the year starts winding down, we often slip into quiet resignation?
It starts subtly.
A little sigh here, a little “maybe next year” there.
Before long, we have stopped believing that anything meaningful can still happen before December 31.
If you have caught yourself giving up on the idea of something beautiful still unfolding this year, I pray these scriptures breathe fresh life into you. Your God does not panic at impossible situations. He does not consult calendars or economic forecasts.
He is the God who eats impossible things for breakfast.
Nothing is too late for Him and nothing is too difficult for Him.
You have a Father who has promised that His plans for you are good. Not average, not maybe, but good.
So this month, choose to apprehend His promises with renewed faith. Speak His Word into every area of your life and expect Him to move.
God responds to faith, even when it feels small and trembling.
So, which area of your life weighs most heavily on your heart?
Is it your finances, your marriage, your health, your family, or your work?
Pick a few of these verses and declare them over your life. Trust the God who made the promise. He is able to do far more than you can ask or imagine.
Ten Scriptures to Ignite Your Faith
Here are ten scriptures to ignite your faith as you finish this year:
1. Jeremiah 32:27
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?”
Let this be your anchor when fear tries to whisper that time has run out.
2. Psalm 84:11
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
God is not stingy with His goodness. Expect His favor.
3. Psalm 3:3
“But You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.”
Whatever bowed your head this year, God is lifting it again.
4. Joshua 1:8
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous and have good success.”
Your breakthrough is often tied to your obedience and consistency.
5. Matthew 6:33
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
When you put Him first, He takes responsibility for everything else.
6. Isaiah 43:19
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; …now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Even in the hardest places, God creates new pathways.
7. Psalm 37:4
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
He is not just shaping your desires. He is fulfilling them.
8. 2 Corinthians 1:20
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us..”
If God said it, Christ has already stamped it with a Yes.
9. Romans 8:28
“And we know all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Nothing from this year is wasted. God is weaving it together for your good.
10. Isaiah 54:2-3
“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; lengthen you cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations and make the desolate cities inhabited.”
Your life is not shrinking. Expansion is still part of God’s plan.
Your Faith Can Move Mountains
As you enter the last weeks of this year, refuse to shrink your expectations to match your disappointments. Lift your eyes. Lift your faith. God is not done with you. There is still time for testimonies. There is still time for answered prayers. There is still time for divine surprises.
Speak His Word.
Stand on His promises, and watch how He moves in your life.
