I’m Chioma, you probably know this since my name is emblazoned everywhere on this site. I am an imperfect, trying to find my way, passionate and most times loving Christian.
I have found that life is a beautiful mix of joy, love, sorrow, pain, healing and abundance. We never really know what to expect but it’s always great to know, whatever happens, God’s got our back.
Sometimes, I feel like I’ve been on my life’s journey a long time with no real change. I gave my life to Christ as a teenager and many years down the line, it seems I have only just moved from the infant(milk drinking) stage.
Have you ever felt this way?
Do you ever ask yourself those hard questions about your Christianity and your standing with God? I know I have. I know I want to live for Christ, I want to do the things that please him in every sphere of my life, yet I stumble.
Many times, I find myself trying to work out my salvation in my own strength even when I know I don’t have what it takes to do it.
Then there is also my “Voltron” complex. When I hear about the calamities and issues around the world, I usually want to help, shaking my head, voicing my thoughts at these atrocities and hardships but never really do anything. I tell myself I want to spread the gospel but end up keeping mum in the midst of others.
But I want to change all of that. This blog is my way of letting the world know what and who I stand for. I am a God-loving Christian who hopes to share her Christian journey and all those experiences that make us stronger each day. I know it wouldn’t be easy but will be forever worth it.
What to expect!
Are in your early to mid-thirties, smart, driven but overly cautious? Do you have a fun side you barely show but really want to? Then this blog is definitely for you.
This blog is about celebrating us as young Christian women and talking about those uncomfortable, sometimes controversial but all the same important areas. From relationships to sexuality, marriage, to our weaknesses, building faith, loving even when it’s hard, understanding who we are, enjoying our lives, dealing with envy, and forgiveness.
I believe deeply that it is time for us to live up to God’s will for our lives, to understand his calling and to walk in purpose. This will require our obedience and sacrifice, I can tell you that these are two areas that I have been struggling with and maybe you too.
This is for you
Do you sometimes feel like there’s a lot of material out there, good and godly advice but not necessarily applicable for where you are right now?
I guess this was why God laid it on my heart to create this blog. It has taken a while to get here and I believe this was the right time to broach these topics for God is never late. He is always on time.
I want you to remember that this blog is about you. Helping you on your Christian journey through scriptural insight, prayers, affirmations, devotionals and developing meaningful relationships.
