It could have been like any other day, but it wasn’t.
This one was different.
For one thing, it happened on the 29th of February 2020(a leap year). Secondly, we were at a friend’s retreat event on the outskirts of Lagos. Looking back, I could see that it was a special moment.
During one of the prayer sessions that day, I heard a deluge of words in my spirit, it wasn’t a few words but sentences bubbling forth. I found myself writing, pouring it all out on paper, and I thank God I did.
These were powerful words but somehow, I had forgotten all about them until 2022, during a mini-retreat.
I had decided to take a retreat a day before my birthday to spend time with God and get a sense of the new year. While going through my Bible study notes – a book I’ve had for over 2 years – I stumbled upon the words from 2020.
When you read the words, you will realize that it was the Holy Spirit leading me, and I believe it is His intention to now unveil God’s words to His daughters.
Please read the words below before you give rein to the thoughts (and reservations) swirling in your mind.
I also told God that every Christian woman on earth needs to read this. They need to know the heart of our heavenly father, and the potency of His love for every one of them.
Please share liberally as it may change a life today.
Be blessed, sisters.
Here are the words that changed everything…
God’s Love letter to His daughters
“Let them see me.
Let them see my heart. Let them see what I want to do in and through them. I want them to know that those dreams I put in them were for a purpose. It was not placed there by mistake; it was not an error but divinely orchestrated. Life may have happened to them; issues have come but I am God.
I am the One who made all, nothing is a thing if I have not called it forth.
They must let go.
They must let go of the past, of their fears, and of self. The work is not about them. The dreams are not about them. I have beautiful plans. The beginning of which they cannot believe or imagine. But they must let me work. They must come fully to me – with open hearts. They have to allow me to love them like only I can.
Oh, if only they knew the splendors and the vastness of this love. If only they knew how long I have pursued them. How long I have waited for them to leave religion, to leave the world’s ways and seek after mine. To allow me to take center stage in their lives.
What is it that I cannot give them?
Why do they look to man?
Who is man but the creature I purposed and made? I made man, I created the heavens and the earth.
I am God. I deliver, I rescue, I save, and I love.
I love every single one of them with everlasting love. A love that never ebbs. I see their pain, I see their struggles, I see the silent tears, and nothing is wasted. I cry because my daughters do not know me. They do not fathom the glory that comes from fellowship with me.
Oh! That they will seek me above all else.
Oh, that their hearts will be gladdened whenever they hear of me and when they speak to others about me.
That it will no longer be of fear or obligation but a passion and desire like never before. They desire men but not me. They desire things but not me. But I am the Creator of all things.
I am the One who has made all things possible. They must look to me. They must raise their eyes, their inner eyes to me.
What is this life that they look to it or man that they worship it?
I am God. I am life. I am all they need and will ever need.”
Your loving father, lover, and friend*
If you can, please print this out as a guide and constant reminder of God’s love.
*I added this signoff as it seemed like a letter and a good way to end it (I also got permission to do so). Everything else remains the same.
