Five Bible Verses to empower you
To say my life has been an adventure these past few months is a gross understatement.
In a few recent posts, I shared a bit about these adventures. It has been a season of holding tightly onto the hem of my Heavenly Father’s robes even as the stones and ridges of life’s journey slowed me down.
Perhaps, you can relate.
I have also had quite a few emails from ladies who are really struggling in the season.
While I may not fully understand or comprehend all you are going through, I know that our Heavenly Father is able and willing to meet you at your point of need. Please do not hesitate to go to Him.
Another incredible blessing about this season (there have been many for he has promised us beauty for ashes) is the growth in my relationship with God.
I have had to depend on him more than ever before. I am often reluctant to move a step without his confirmation and approval and this has been beautiful.
Through this connection, the Holy Spirit has used different scriptures to strengthen my heart and hand. He has poured the word of God into my spirit, and this has been such a powerful testimony for me and for those I have shared my story with.
Here are five scriptures to remind you that God is still in the business of empowering His children:
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”
Isaiah 60:1 KJV
-
God’s word is true, every time.
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar…”
Romans 3:3-4 KJV
-
The power of praise
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: Come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations.”
Psalm 100:1-5 KJV
-
God will fight for you
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.”
Isaiah 59:19 KJV
-
Never doubt that God is with you.
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Exodus 14:13-14 KJV
God’s word is true!
I know there is a tendency to doubt the potency of God’s word when we go through trials, but I hope you remember that our God does not lie!
More so, I hope you remember to “…count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
James 1:2-3(NKJV)
Meditate on these things!
These were just a few of the powerful scriptures the Holy Spirit poured into me recently. There were many more, including Romans 8:28, 1 Corinthians 2:9, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Isaiah 60:19, Philippians 4:8, James 1:2-3(above) and Joshua 1:8.
I pray you to find time to meditate on these scriptures.
God bless you, friend.
