15 scriptures to pray over your relationship.
A few weeks ago, I shared a post about trusting God with our hearts. I know this post resonated with quite a few people, for one thing – it was a reminder of our need to let go and let God do what he does best.
However, I still know we struggle to fully let go. I certainly have my moments. Lol
While reflecting on God’s interest in our love lives, a few words came to mind:
- Fatherhood
- Patience
- Providence
- Absolute trust
- Gratitude
I believe the above words speak to the various facets of our Christian walk. They are reminders of what our faith journey means and what it should look like.
More so, the core basis of our Christian walk is the father-daughter relationship between us and God.
Until we fully grasp the intensity and full-roundedness of this relationship, I believe we will always struggle. We will always struggle to see God as our Father and to accept His unconditional love.
We will struggle to believe he has good plans for us, and that His plans will come to pass in His timing and in His way (which is better than anything we can imagine).
As you reflect on the above paragraphs, here are 15 scriptures to meditate and pray over yourself:
15 SCRIPTURES TO PRAY OVER YOUR LOVE LIFE.
I have divided the scriptures according to the headings:
-
FATHERHOOD
Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”
Isaiah 49:15-16 NKJV
Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
Matthew 7:9-11 NKJV
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:37-39 NKJV
-
ABSOLUTE TRUST
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”
Mark 11:24 NKJV
-
PATIENCE
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”
Proverbs 4:23 NKJV
For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:3 NKJV
-
PROVIDENCE
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Matthew 6:31-33 NKJV
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalms 23:1 NKJV
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.””
I Corinthians 2:9 NKJV
-
GRATITUDE + MIRACLES
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”
Psalms 100:1-5 NKJV
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. Praise the Lord with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth.”
Psalms 33:1-4 NKJV
In conclusion
The above scriptures showcase the incredible majesty and goodness of our God. They highlight his commitment and promises to us, his daughters.
In essence, God is willing and able to do His part and the question is: are we ready to do ours?
Are we ready to come before His throne of grace to lay it all down?
Are we willing to allow God fill our hearts and lives with His will, His ways, and His laws?
I pray we allow him to do what only He can do. Amen
