10 Bible Verses to guide you in 2025
We are just a few days from 2025 and there is often a tension that comes with crossing over into a new year. Maybe you can relate to this.
We may feel the need to do a lot of things or to do nothing.
Many of us may use this time to rest, reflect, and plan for the new year.
Whatever you choose, I hope you also make it a time for prayer and intimacy with your maker. Remember that:
- Rest is nothing without God.
- Reflection is hollow without the input of the Holy Spirit
- Planning is fruitless without subjecting our plans to the will of God.
So, as the curtains of 2024 close and the rays of 2025 stream in, I pray you make time for the One who has made it all possible.
Here are 10 scriptures to guide you in this season.
These scriptures have been divided into three key areas of your life.
- Your Health & Wellbeing
- Your Career & Finances
- Your Faith & Decisions
Take time to meditate on these scriptures and any others to supercharge your faith and to guide you throughout the year.
YOUR HEALTH & WELLBEING
God’s plan for you is good. He is the restorer of all, and the shepherd who strengthens His sheep.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”
Psalms 23:1–3 NKJV
“Listen carefully, my dear child, to everything that I teach you, and pay attention to all that I have to say. Then as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being. So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellsprings of life.”
Proverbs 4:20,22-23 TPT
YOUR CAREER & FINANCES
God can provide all that you need in the new year. Be courageous, step out of your comfort zone and see the incredible things God will do in and through you.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”
Ephesians 3:20 NKJV
“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.””
Genesis 1:28 NKJV
YOUR FAITH AND DECISION-MAKING
God is your guide and guard. He will lead you in the way you should go as you continue to trust and obey Him.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 NKJV
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;”
Psalms 46:1–2 NKJV
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:4–5 NKJV
PRAYER OF CONSECRATION
Dear Lord, I come before you in total surrender laying the next 365 days before you. Father, I ask that you take my moments and my days and use them for your glory.
Lord, I lay all my requests, petitions, and burdens before your throne of grace choosing to no longer worry about the future, for my future is established in you.
Lord, I consecrate my life to you, to be a disciple and an ambassador of your kingdom. And Lord, as I submit to your will, I pray I will also enjoy the blessings of a set-apart life. May I be blessed in my coming in and going out, may I find favour before God and man, and may my steps be eternally ordered by you. Amen
